PLUS special guests tba. Both Zombeaches and Public House are heading to Europe on tour and we’re putting on a show to help fuel their tanks and get ninch music in front of Euro audiences. Zero dickhead policy! Let’s have a good time together and support the bands working hard for our local scene.

Ali (Jakarta)

After a successful first Australian tour booked and tour managed by Hug in February 2023, Ali released their debut record Malaka.

The album encompasses Ali’s desire to incorporate Middle Eastern musical culture with elements of 1970s Indonesian rock, cinematic soul, funk, disco, and afrobeat to create a new groove and sound straight from the contemporary and vibrant Indonesian music scene.

Ali’s ‘Crystal Sand’ Feb 2023 Australian Tour included performances at OK Motels (VIC), NinchFest Music Festival, (VIC) Lion Arts Factory (ADL) w/ Osees, The Evelyn Hotel and Northside Records (VIC) to name a few key dates.

The band returned to Australia for a follow up tour in late 2023 performing at the renown Meredith Music Festival along with a string of other shows up the east coast and a live to air 3RRR performance. Their performance at MMF was followed by an extensive Europe Tour + exciting appearance at Fuji Rock.

Hug Group are excited to get Ali back in front of Australian audiences again, for their 3rd collaboration and tour with the band.

Ali will perform at When Pigs Fly (VIC) on NYE and an intimate premium groove show on the Mornington Peninsula at Balnarring Bowlo on Friday 27 December.

Watty Thompson

Hug Group are proud to book for the enigmatic, Watty Thompson.
Watty Thompson performs solo but also with his Total Fire Band in numerous formations depending on the event and the sentiment. An energetic and passionate performer, Thompson and his band head toward a new year a second album in the works and a reasonably open schedule at this stage. The band completed 2023 on a high note after performing Meredith Music Festival as well as rolling through 2024 on an extensive tour for the latest single ‘Rock & Roll’.
